Every Reader has a different approach to working with a client. My style has been shaped and honed from many years’ experience. Working with a person who has not had a reading before is always exciting. In the beginning of the reading I impart briefly as much information I can about the life circumstance that was the motivation for the reading. This is what I call “a check in and checkup.” Once I have made sure I have made a good connection, we get to the specifics of the reading. My work is to make sure my client is comfortable, secure, and feels that their questions have been answered.
Good! A healthy dose of skepticism is very helpful; it keeps your intuition sharp and alert. Yes, you are intuitive, everyone is. The little voice inside that nags you all the time, or that gut feeling is intuition. Some of us pay more attention to it than others but we all posses the ability to follow our sixth sense. Intuition after all is just a quick and ready insight.
Understanding what psychic ability encompasses will help you as you look for a good reader. To that end, I would like to answer some questions I am most frequently asked about my gift.
As a psychic, am I also a mind reader? No. I wouldn't want to do that even if I could. We are all given the gift of free will and the right to our own thoughts. Nobody has the right to infringe on something so personal. Besides, it would make my life really boring. Who could I have a conversation with if I knew both sides before I started?
If you are so psychic, how come you don't win a million dollars on the lottery? Boy, I wished it worked that way. The gift is not used that way for the reader or the client.
If your psychic ability is a God given gift, how come you charge for a reading? I charge for my time, not my gift. An artist has a God given gift, but will still charge you for the time it takes to paint the picture.
Can I read for myself? No, not in the same way I can read for another person, but my gift helps guide and direct my life path and work.
Am I 100% accurate? Absolutely not! I don't know any psychic who is. And no, I don't create your future. A good psychic reading can give the seeker a glimpse at future doors of opportunity. You have, first and foremost, the gift of free will. The advantage a reading gives the seeker, is the ability the to choose the best course of events by which YOU choose a better outcome.
The very best way to find a good reader is through personal recommendations. The nearest New Age Book Store or Health Food Store is also a valuable resource. Although you may connect with one reader more than another, be aware there are fakes who are more than willing to take your money. If you come across a reader who appears over confident or insists they can't be wrong, it may be time to leave. If a reader tells you there are black clouds all around you, or you are surrounded by bad energy, or might indicate you have been cursed, pick up your money and run! If they say they will light candles and pray for you if you pay them more money, it's time to leave. You can light as many candles for yourself and you'll probably pay a lot less money than they will charge you. You own prayers will work just fine thank you very much!
Finally, when you do find a good, clear reader, there are some things you can do to get the most out of your reading. Don't go to the reading with per-conceived notions or expectations; listen with an open heart. Trust yourself. Let your intuition lead the way. Write your questions down in an organized manner. Take notes if you want, but don't let it interfere with the flow of information. A good psychic is a good guide, not a psychiatrist. Also, remember the psychic is not God. Relax and enjoy your reading. It should be informative and helpful. And, in the end, remember you and only you can and should make the decision that affects your future.
It may be asked how I come to have this knowledge about heavenly things which are far removed beyond human ken. My answer is that sages have been taught by God that this natural world is only an image and material copy of heavenly and spiritual pattern; that the very existence of this world is based upon the reality of its heavenly archetype…Thus the sage sees heaven reflected in Nature as in a mirror, and pursues this Art, not for the sake of silver and gold, but for the love of the Knowledge which it reveals.” Sendivogius (1750)
Palmistry is an ancient practice. Archaeologists have discovered hands made of stones, wood, and ivory. In prehistoric caves in Santander, Spain they have found hand drawings of palms with the major lines portrayed in intricate detail. The earliest writings about Palmistry appear to date back to 1420. John Lyndgate included the word Palmistry then spelled “Pawmestry” in his Assembly of Gods Documents. The Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen (130-200AD) were both knowledgeable about the use of palmistry as a clinical aid.
Unfortunately, as the Catholic Church gained power it forced palmistry underground. The practice was deemed devil worship. But people of learning and social status such as Paracelsus (1493-1541) and Fludd (1574-1637) brought respectability back to palmistry through their writings. The study and writings of DIArpenitgny born in 1798 and Desbarrolles born in 1801 are still seriously respected today. Advances in genetics, forensics, and psychology have brought palmistry into modern times. Recently there has been a confirmed link between specific fingerprints and heart disease. Today palmistry is openly accepted.
Hands are so interesting, exciting, and reveling. In palmistry every part of the hand matters. The size of the hand, the shape, the skin tone, nail color, depth of the lines, even the way you hold you hand tells your story. The lines of the hand will change over time. As a person grows and changes the lines in the hand change as well, and once a line has been added it will never go away again. Each hand is slightly different from the other. I was taught that the right hand shows the gifts and talents you were born with; the left hand shows how you manifest those talents.
The major lines of the hand are the lifeline, heart, head, and fate lines. The mounts and fingers are named after astrological planets. There is a strong connection between astrology and palmistry. “As is above, so is below.” Even the spaces between the fingers provide a lot of information about the person. If there is a large space between the pinky and the ring finger this person needs lots of space in their relationships. A large space between the middle finger and the index finger indicates that this person will over spend. The thumb shows flexibility and/or stubbornness. And yes there is a “Line of Good Fortune.” This line crosses the mount of Venus and indicates if you have the good fortune. You never know you could win the lottery. Look for it and good luck!

Sure, why not you? The question I get asked most often is; “Do I believe everyone is psychic?” I absolutely believe that everyone has the gift of a “sixth sense,” and when used and nurtured that sense grows and expands. Each psychic gift is different, but it all starts with trusting your intuition.
Have you ever heard that “little voice” inside of you? Or have you ever had a “gut feeling” or had a “sinking feeling” in your muscles? Those are all examples of your sixth sense kicking in. It is called “the knowing.” Some people pay more attention to these callings than others, but at some point in time we all will use this incredible gift. Most people will talk about the experience with awe. How many times have you heard someone whisper, “Wow, this little voice inside me told me not to move, even thought the stop light turned green. Just as I was going to go another car ran the light. If I hadn’t listened I would have been hit.” Or another person say, “I should have gone with my “gut feeling” and none of this would have happened.”
I’m sure I hear these stories more often than most. People feel safe telling me about their experiences. They usually start out, “This may sound strange, but I’m sure you will know what I’m talking about.” And of course I do understand. I love to teach people to rely on their intuition. The practical uses are so beneficial, and sometimes it’s just fun to “know what you know” and be right.
If you want to learn or understand how this works, for a week or two, why not keep a journal about that “little voice?” Can you guess who is at the door before you answer it? Maybe you have thought about a friend you haven’t heard from for weeks and a few days later that person calls to say hello. In a meeting write down who you believe will be the last one to come in and the first to leave. Don’t use your intelligence. Such as, so and so is always late, therefore…feel who may be late by “knowing.” After about a week you will find that when you trust your intuition, I mean REALLY trust your intuition, you will have called the situations right more than 50% of the time. As you trust this more and more your intuition will grow. It will become sharper, clearer, and come faster. Then one day you will realize that you have an answer or have made a decision that you trust 100%, without having asked the question. What can I say, you’re psychic!
My name is Ellen Doreen and I live in Rockledge right around the corner from Cocoa
Village and two blocks up from the river. I love Florida. My husband Mark and I moved
here 11 years ago from California. I was born and raised in San Francisco and later
moved to Sonoma County 50 miles north of San Francisco. Sonoma County was the
“Seat of the Soul” for the New Age Movement. Although that was not the reason I
moved there I met wonderful teachers and healers who helped me learn, grown and
become proficient in my field.
I began giving predictions when I was six. I didn’t know I was psychic I just knew that I
“knew” things. It turns out that my father was a gifted psychic, although he would not
claim to be. He had just arrived in the United States after WWII. He was Irish/English
and had served in The Royal Navy. He was trying to find work and make a home so he
didn’t want any notoriety. My mother wasn’t please with my gift so as the predictions
began to come true, my mom told me to stop. This is not something one can turn “on and
off” so I just stopped talking about it. I have found that children who are born with
psychic abilities usually will put the gift aside around 6 or 7 years of age. There is so much for them to learn about living, school, friends and all the activities of growing up.
It does not mean they are any less psychic. The interesting part for me was I didn’t know
that I was different. I assumed that everyone saw life through the same lens. It was years
later that I discovered the truth.
I have been doing readings now for some 30 years. When I was younger and raising a
family I also worked at other jobs besides doing readings. I have been an office manager,
and a sales manager, and I have worked with my husband as a long haul truck driver. We
were a great team for many years. My gift has always been a help to me in each venture,
but I was especially good in sales for obvious reasons.
I have a degree from Santa Rosa Junior College in Liberal Arts and completed a
Certificate program there in Human Services. I completed that program with Deans
Highest Honors. I am also a Certified Professional Psychic with the American
Association of Professional Psychics.
I am a Psychic/Medium. Psychics “know” things; mediums connect with the folks on the other side. I believe that all mediums are psychic as well but not every psychic is a
medium. It is my belief that all people are “gifted.” Everyone has that “little voice” that
will try to guide them. I also believe that people who own and care for pets are especially
intuitive for they understand the needs of their pets without verbal communication. They just “know.”
The joy of my life is to talk about the Grace of Spirit. As human beings we are all bound by the Universal Laws that govern our planet. Apples will never fall up, stars will not be seen in daylight, dusk will always be followed by night, and the Sun will come up every morning. This consistency is a great comfort and very reassuring in our lives. But life on earth is a duality so the consistency we rely on also brings the consistency of change. There will always be death, illness, hardship and natural events beyond our control. It is when these events happen that our belief in Spirit is tested. When we explore the “Why’s and “How comes,” we find no logical answer. There is a beautiful song on a CD written by the gospel singe Lynda Randle. In the song she signs the words: The God of the mountain is still God in the valley, the God of the day is still God in the night. It is our faith that moves us once more out of the darkness into the light.
Life is not fair. It is not a basketball game with rules and referees. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. What I teach in my workshops on life transitions is, “It is not what happens to you in life, it is what you do with what happens to you THAT WILL DETERMINE HOW YOU WILL LIVE.” When these hard times befall us we start to search beyond our comfort zone. We begin to explore outside our understanding. There is a prayer said in church that states very clearly, “I believe in all that is seen and unseen.” So why do we dismiss this belief so readily. We have been taught not to trust our intuition even though we all know that it exists and most of us use it daily. When we let go of our logical understanding doors open before us. As we step out in faith the road of knowledge meets us. In the movie Indiana Jones The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones has to cross the abyss to get to the chalice that will save his father’s life. He is standing on the brink and his logical mind tells him he will surely fall into nothingness if he lets go and steps out. But his soul has told him to believe and TRUST, so he steps out over the abyss. As he does suddenly a pathway appears to meet his foot. It is an optical illusion for the pathway has always been there, he just could not see it. What joy! What excitement! Spirit is always there!
